Created Through Him And For Him

VERSE OF THE DAY: ~ Colossians 1:15-20 “He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.

Once again, we see that God the father revealed himself through Jesus Christ. Our text reads “He is the image of the invisible God”. Scripture says by Him all things were created that are in heaven and on earth. What’s interesting here is it’s talking about Christ as creator! Speaking to the reality of the Christian belief in the Holy Trinity. Our text also tells us that everything created through Him was created for him! This means that you were created with a divine purpose. In Him all things come together to display His majesty. Now get this He is the head of the body, “the church”. Concealed in this little sentence is an answer for many of the issues people face today! When the body is in connection with it’s head, there is life, unity, equality, purpose and correct functionality. When dis-connected, there is dysfunction! When isolated there is strangulation.

But one may say; “The church betrayed me” Or “I am not godly enough to play that church game.” I encourage you that the same Christ who was raised from the stronghold of death itself has preeminence. In other words, He rules over all and will bring all things together for good. He came to reconcile your differences with Father God, He has made every provision for peace on the cross. God is calling out to men, “My body is missing you” He is more than to bring us back into harmony with God and with each other. God’s plan of reconciliation will work if we each as individuals will work it. I cannot make anyone else get right (whatever that means) but I can get into right relation with the preeminent creator and there we each can start! It is possible now because Christ has come to show us how and to pave the way.

PRAYER: “Jesus I thank you for all of creation! I thank you that you have come to reconcile all things to yourself, to bring all of creation back into harmony with it’s created value and identity. I now see more clearly what your word means when it declares that all of creation is eagerly awaiting for the revealing of the sons of God! I thank you Jesus that through the blood of the cross you have reconciled all things to yourself and you have made a way for me to come out of death and darkness and to resurrect with you into newness of life. Thank you Jesus for newness of life! Amen”

VERSE FOR VICTORIOUS LIVING!  ~ Ephesians 2:4-7 “But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.”
